Barrett’s Home Theater, Chicago, Integrates Multi Media Systems

Barrett’s Home Theater Chicago Integrates Multi Media Systems

Just when we thought innovations related to technologies in audio and video might be slowing down, nothing could be further from the truth.; in fact for some companies, like Barrett’s Home Theater, located in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, business is booming, all because customers are looking for personal service, whole house systems, the hottest audio/video equipment and custom installation services, to satisfy the lifestyles of individuals who are hard pressed to find a company who offers so many options and services.

Meet LG’s New 2008/2009 Plasma TV’S, LG (LIFE’S GOOD) offers the perfect harmony of stylish design and advanced technology in a new ultra-slim 3.1 inch* plasma display. Featuring invisible speakers for a clean contemporary look, this display is THX Certified, providing the best picture quality. The ladies love it because it is sleek, sexy and unassuming.

Match this with Crestron’s Adagio Media Systems (AMS) to make home technologies accessible for everyone. Barrett’s Home Theater, Chicago, has a custom installation department which can bring all your home entertainment together: video games, MP3 players, DVDs, audio servers, and satellite radio.

The reason Pat Doherty, Home Theater Specialist at Barrett’s Home Theater located in Alquoquin, a suburb of Chicago, selected Adagio Media Systems with his recent customer in Crystal Lake was because his customer was looking for something more elaborate. The integration can be done in phases including adding lighting control, HVAC, while integrating into the security system. An Adagio customer can pick from at least 30 user interfaces to interact with the whole house system, which in this case includes 14 rooms.

Barrett’s Home Theater is designing in their showroom, coming July, a multi media Crestron display to demonstrate how control panels set new standards for system integration, upgrade capability and multi-zone expansion. area is always looking for student opportunities to engage local talents in the area of music abilities. Partnered with WFMT, 98.7 FM, on June 7th 2008, the Hall School of Music, located in Wheaton, Illinois, will be performing with a live broadcast at Barrett’s Home Theater, Naperville location, 30 miles west of Chicago.
Introductions is WFMT’s newest radio series that celebrates the Chicago region’s most talented pre-collegiate classical musicians. Music from the Baroque period, will feature 14 very talented student musicians.

Also underwriting the program, are Bowers & Wilkins and Integra; Bowers & Wilkins, a world reknown speaker manufacturer is used in highly recognized studios across the world, including Abbey Road Studios in London. Integra is an audio component manufacturer used in custom installation projects including dedicated home theaters and media rooms. Both companies’ products are available at Barrett’s Home Theater showrooms in the Chicago suburbs. According to Brian Perreault, General Manager of Barrett’s Home Theater, “Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers combined with Integra components produces an incredibly realistic listening experience for enthusiasts with the most discerning of ears”.

Barrett’s Home Theater believes in celebrating music by partnering with schools and other non- profits. In the last several years, Barrett’s Home Theater and their custom installation department donated a home theater system to Misocordia, an adult assisted living home in Chicago. In 2006, Barrett’s Home Theater also hosted a program called “Celebrating music in high schools.” Three schools’ jazz, rock and classic ensemble played, including Benet Academy, Naperville Central and South High Schools. In return, Barrett’s Home Theater donated a projector to one of the schools to teach music theory.
Barrett’s Home Theater welcomes ideas on how to get student musicians active in their communities.

If you are interested or know students who would like to showcase their talents, please contact Dianne Barrett (dbarrett at barrettshometheater dot com). We hope to host more events showcasing student’s talents in our stores while promoting through our blog and upcoming podcasts. At the high school and college level, this can be a good way for students to earn income at private venues or just perform for the love of music.
